European Union citizens mentioned in 1° of article L. 233-1 retain their right to residence as an employed or self-employed worker in the following situations:
1° They have been temporarily incapacitated for work as a result of illness or accident;
2° They find themselves duly recorded as involuntarily unemployed after having exercised their professional activity for more than one year and are registered on the list of jobseekers;
3° They undertake professional training that must be linked to the previous professional activity unless they have been involuntarily unemployed.
They also retain their right of residence for six months if they are involuntarily unemployed within the first twelve months following the start of their professional activity and are registered on the jobseekers’ list.
