Article R2334-8 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The amount received by a municipality under 1° of article L. 2334-22 is equal to the product of its population multiplied by the relative difference between the average per capita financial potential of municipalities belonging to the same demographic group and the per capita financial potential of the municipality, weighted by the tax effort taken into account up to a limit of 1.2.

Le montant perçu par une commune au titre du 1° de l’article L. 2334-22 est égal au produit de sa population par l’écart relatif entre le potentiel financier moyen par habitant des communes appartenant au même groupe démographique et le potentiel financier par habitant de la commune, pondéré par l’effort fiscal pris en compte dans la limite de 1,2.
