Article R261-17 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée provides the material, human and financial resources required to carry out the tasks of the Commission de protection de l’accès aux œuvres (Commission for the Protection of Access to Works) and to process and pay for appeals and legal costs relating to its decisions.

To this end, the secretariat of the Commission is provided by staff from the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image) appointed by the Chairman of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image) with the agreement of the Chairman of the Commission.

These staff members are bound by confidentiality with regard to any facts, acts or information of which they may have knowledge as a result of their participation in the work of the Commission.

Les moyens matériels, humains et financiers nécessaires à l’accomplissement des missions de la commission de protection de l’accès aux œuvres ainsi qu’au traitement et à la prise en charge des recours et des frais de justice relatifs à ses décisions sont mis à disposition par le Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.

A ce titre, le secrétariat de la commission est assuré par des agents du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée désignés par le président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée avec l’accord du président de la commission.

Ces agents sont astreints à la confidentialité à l’égard des faits, actes ou renseignements dont ils ont pu avoir connaissance à raison de leur participation aux travaux de la commission.
