Article R312-17 of the French Sports Code

The organiser of the event must have the installation of the temporary facilities technically inspected in accordance with the conditions laid down in Chapter V of Title II of Book I of the French Construction and Housing Code.

The technical inspection covers the solidity of the elements making up the installation and their assembly, the adaptation of the installation to the ground and the safety of people linked to the solidity of the temporary installations.

The report is sent to the departmental safety and accessibility advisory committee by the event organiser. It contains an opinion in favour of or against approval. If the report is not sent, or if the opinion is unfavourable, the commission cannot issue a favourable opinion.

Article R312-17

L’organisateur de la manifestation fait procéder au contrôle technique du montage des installations provisoires dans les conditions prévues au chapitre V du titre II du livre Ier du code de la construction et de l’habitation.

Le contrôle technique porte sur la solidité des éléments composant l’installation et leur montage, sur l’adaptation de l’installation au sol ainsi que sur la sécurité des personnes liée à la solidité des installations provisoires.

Le rapport est transmis à la commission consultative départementale de sécurité et d’accessibilité par l’organisateur de la manifestation. Il contient un avis favorable ou défavorable à l’homologation. A défaut de transmission du rapport ou si cet avis est défavorable, la commission ne peut émettre un avis favorable.
