Article R313-9 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

In order to obtain validation from the mayor, the signatory of the attestation d’accueil must go in person to the town hall with one of the documents mentioned in articles R. 313-7 and R. 313-8, a document attesting to their status as owner, tenant or occupier of the accommodation in which they propose to house the visitor, as well as any document enabling them to assess their resources and ability to house the foreign national they are hosting in decent accommodation within the meaning of the regulatory provisions in force and under normal occupancy conditions.

Le signataire de l’attestation d’accueil doit, pour en obtenir la validation par le maire, se présenter personnellement en mairie, muni d’un des documents mentionnés aux articles R. 313-7 et R. 313-8, d’un document attestant de sa qualité de propriétaire, de locataire ou d’occupant du logement dans lequel il se propose d’héberger le visiteur ainsi que de tout document permettant d’apprécier ses ressources et sa capacité d’héberger l’étranger accueilli dans un logement décent au sens des dispositions réglementaires en vigueur et dans des conditions normales d’occupation.
