Article R321-14 of the French Insurance Code

Administrative authorisation is given by branch to the undertakings mentioned in 1°, 3° and 4° of article L. 310-2.

This authorisation covers the entire branch, unless the undertaking only wishes to underwrite operations falling within one or more sub-branches.

For the undertakings mentioned in 4° of Article L. 310-2, the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution may, under the conditions set out in Article R. 321-4, restrict authorisation to one or more operations.

Article R321-14

L’agrément administratif est donné par branche aux entreprises mentionnées aux 1°, 3° et 4° de l’article L. 310-2.

Cet agrément couvre la branche entière, sauf si l’entreprise ne désire garantir que les opérations relevant d’une ou plusieurs sous-branches.

Pour les entreprises mentionnées au 4° de l’article L. 310-2, l’Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution peut, dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 321-4, restreindre l’agrément à une ou plusieurs opérations.
