Article R321-15 of the French Insurance Code

The general representative of branches of companies referred to in 3° of Article L. 310-2 duly established in France must be vested with sufficient powers by the company concerned to bind the latter vis-à-vis third parties and to represent it before the French authorities and courts.

Le mandataire général des succursales d’entreprises mentionnées au 3° de l’article L. 310-2 établies régulièrement en France doit être doté par l’entreprise intéressée de pouvoirs suffisants pour engager celle-ci à l’égard des tiers et pour la représenter vis-à-vis des autorités et juridictions françaises.
