Article R321-25 of the French Insurance Code

The general representative of branches of undertakings referred to in 3° of III of Article L. 310-1-1 duly established in France must be vested by the undertaking concerned with sufficient powers to bind the latter vis-à-vis third parties and to represent it vis-à-vis the French authorities and courts.

Le mandataire général des succursales d’entreprises mentionnées au 3° du III de l’article L. 310-1-1 établies régulièrement en France doit être doté par l’entreprise intéressée de pouvoirs suffisants pour engager celle-ci à l’égard des tiers et pour la représenter vis-à-vis des autorités et juridictions françaises.
