Article R3512-26 of the French Public Health Code

I. – In addition to the health warnings provided for in Article L. 3512-22 and the warnings relating to the impact on the environment of the abandonment of waste resulting from the consumption of tobacco products, as well as the signs and information provided for in Article L. 541-9-3 of the Environmental Code, the following information must be legibly and uniformly displayed on a unit packet or outer packaging of cigarettes or roll-your-own tobacco:

1° The brand name ;

2° The trade name;

3° The name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number of the manufacturer;

4° The number of cigarettes contained or an indication of the weight in grams of the rolling tobacco contained.

No other indication may be affixed, except those provided for by law or regulation.

II – When the unit packet or outer packaging of rolling tobacco also contains the rolling paper or filters, the following wording may be added, as appropriate:

1° “contains rolling paper and filters” ;

2° “contains rolling paper” ;

3° “contains filters”.

III – An order by the Minister for Health specifies the location of the information provided for in I and II on the unit packs or outer packaging, as well as their characteristics.

Article R3512-26

I. – Outre les avertissements sanitaires prévus à l’article L. 3512-22 et les avertissements relatifs à l’impact sur l’environnement de l’abandon des déchets issus de la consommation des produits du tabac, ainsi que la signalétique et l’information prévues à l’article L. 541-9-3 du code de l’environnement, les mentions suivantes sont apposées de façon lisible et uniforme sur une unité de conditionnement ou un emballage extérieur de cigarettes ou de tabac à rouler :

1° Le nom de la marque ;

2° Le nom de la dénomination commerciale ;

3° Le nom, l’adresse postale, l’adresse électronique et le numéro de téléphone du fabricant ;

4° Le nombre de cigarettes contenues ou l’indication du poids en grammes du tabac à rouler contenu.

Aucune autre mention ne peut être apposée, sous réserve de celles prévues par une disposition législative ou réglementaire.

II.-Lorsque les unités de conditionnement ou emballages extérieurs de tabac à rouler contiennent également le papier à rouler ou les filtres, les mentions suivantes peuvent, le cas échéant, être ajoutées :

1° “ contient le papier à rouler et les filtres ” ;

2° “ contient le papier à rouler ” ;

3° “ contient les filtres ”.

III.-Un arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé fixe l’emplacement des mentions prévues au I et au II sur les unités de conditionnement ou emballages extérieurs ainsi que leurs caractéristiques.
