Article R421-25 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Where the foreign national already has a residence permit bearing the words “long-term resident-EU” issued by another Member State of the European Union, mentioning that international protection has been granted, the residence permit bearing the words “long-term resident-EU”, issued by France on the basis of articles L. 421-12 or L. 421-25, bears the following statement under the heading “Remarks”: “The [name of the Member State] granted international protection on [date]”, after verification with the Member State of the European Union that granted the protection that the person remains under its protection.
In the event that the foreign national obtains the transfer of his protection to France, the mention provided for in the first paragraph is amended accordingly, within a maximum period of three months following the transfer.
When a Member State of the European Union informs France that it has granted international protection to a foreign national who already holds a residence permit bearing the wording “long-term resident-EU”, issued by France on the basis of Articles L. 421-12 or L. 421-25, or that responsibility for the protection of this foreign national has been transferred to this Member State, France shall amend the entry provided for in the first paragraph accordingly, within a maximum period of three months following the date on which the information was sent.

Lorsque l’étranger dispose déjà d’une carte de résident portant la mention ” résident de longue durée-UE ” délivrée par un autre Etat membre de l’Union européenne, mentionnant qu’une protection internationale lui a été accordée, la carte de résident portant la mention ” résident de longue durée-UE “, délivrée par la France sur le fondement des articles L. 421-12 ou L. 421-25, porte la mention suivante sous la rubrique ” Remarques ” : ” Le [nom de l’Etat membre] a accordé la protection internationale le [date] “, après vérification auprès de l’Etat membre de l’Union européenne qui lui a accordé cette protection qu’il demeure sous sa protection.
Dans le cas où l’étranger obtient le transfert de sa protection en France, la mention prévue au premier alinéa est modifiée en conséquence, dans un délai maximal de trois mois suivant le transfert.
Lorsqu’un Etat membre de l’Union européenne informe la France qu’il a accordé une protection internationale à un étranger déjà titulaire d’une carte de résident portant la mention ” résident de longue durée-UE “, délivrée par la France sur le fondement des articles L. 421-12 ou L. 421-25, ou que la responsabilité de la protection de cet étranger a été transférée à cet Etat membre, la France modifie la mention prévue au premier alinéa en conséquence, dans un délai maximal de trois mois suivant la date à laquelle l’information a été transmise.
