Article R4235-49 of the French Public Health Code

Pharmacists are required to participate in the on-call and emergency services provided for in article L. 5125-22 or organised by the competent authorities for the care of hospitalised patients.

Pharmacists shall ensure that their pharmacy meets the obligations imposed by this service.

The dispensing pharmacist shall inform the public either of the names and addresses of his close colleagues who are able to provide patients with the medicines and assistance they may require, or of the public authorities authorised to provide this information.

Les pharmaciens sont tenus de participer aux services de garde et d’urgence prévus à l’article L. 5125-22 ou organisés par les autorités compétentes pour les soins aux personnes hospitalisées.

Les pharmaciens titulaires veillent à ce que leur officine satisfasse aux obligations imposées par ce service.

Le pharmacien d’officine porte à la connaissance du public soit les noms et adresses de ses proches confrères en mesure de procurer aux malades les médicaments et secours dont ils pourraient avoir besoin, soit ceux des autorités publiques habilitées à communiquer ces renseignements.
