For the application of article L. 424-2, as soon as refugee status is recognised, foreign nationals are informed of the procedures enabling them to access the teleservice mentioned in article R. 431-2 in order to submit an application for the issue of the resident card provided for in article L. 424-1.
As soon as this application is submitted, a certificate extending the processing of the application mentioned in the second paragraph of article R. 431-15-1, for a renewable period of six months, is made available by the foreign national.
As soon as this application is submitted, the Prefect will provide the applicant with a certificate of extension of the examination of their application, as referred to in the second paragraph of article R. 431-15-1, for a renewable period of six months, using this teleservice. This certificate bears the words “recognised refugee”.
This document enables them to prove that their residence is legal for the period it specifies and gives them the right to exercise the profession of their choice under the conditions set out in article L. 414-10.
