Article R4523-14 of the French Labour Code

External company representatives on the health, safety and working conditions committee of the user company are appointed for a period which ends with the term of office of the elected members of the social and economic committee. If, during the normal term of office, a representative ceases to perform his duties, he is replaced within one month, for the remainder of his term of office, unless this period is less than three months. The procedures for this replacement are those set out in articles R. 4523-10 and R. 4523-11.

Les représentants des entreprises extérieures à la commission santé, sécurité et conditions de travail de l’entreprise utilisatrice sont désignés pour une durée qui prend fin avec celle du mandat des membres élus du comité social et économique. Si, pendant la durée normale de son mandat, un représentant cesse ses fonctions, il est remplacé dans le délai d’un mois, pour la période du mandat restant à courir, sauf si cette période est inférieure à trois mois. Les modalités de ce remplacement sont celles fixées aux articles R. 4523-10 et R. 4523-11.
