Placed under the regional prefect, the regional committee for the orientation of working conditions participates in the development of policy guidelines for health and safety at work and the improvement of working conditions at regional level.

A regional occupational health and prevention committee is set up within the committee. Its role is to provide guidance on occupational health and safety policy and the improvement of working conditions.
