The Regional Occupational Health and Prevention Committee provides guidance in the fields of occupational health and safety and the improvement of working conditions within the region. In addition to the tasks set out in article L. 4641-5, it :
1° Issue an opinion on any issue of a strategic nature in the field of occupational health, working conditions and occupational risks which is referred to it;
2° Participate in the preparation of the territorial diagnosis relating to occupational health, working conditions and the prevention of occupational risks;
3° Promote the coordination of the guidelines and positions adopted in the main regional joint bodies in the field of occupational health, in line with the guidelines of the national occupational health and prevention committee referred to in article L. 4641-2-1;
4° Submits an annual report on its activities to the National Occupational Health and Prevention Committee.
It issues an opinion, which it submits to the Comité régional d’orientation des conditions de travail:
a) On the content of the multi-year contracts for objectives and resources of the occupational health services provided for in article L. 4622-10 ;
b) On the regional accreditation policy provided for in article D. 4622-53.
Within its area of competence, the regional occupational health and prevention committee may, on its own initiative, submit proposals and opinions and commission analyses or studies.
