Article R5126-42 of the French Public Health Code

The management of an internal-use pharmacy in a public health institution is carried out by a pharmacist performing one of the following functions:

1° Head of a unit in an institution or head of an inter-institutional unit, in exclusively pharmaceutical areas of activity which do not include internal structures or which only include functional units;

2° Head of an internal pharmacy structure in other areas of activity.

The provisions of this article do not apply in public health establishments that are not organised into centres of activity.

La gérance d’une pharmacie à usage intérieur d’un établissement public de santé est assurée par un pharmacien exerçant l’une des fonctions suivantes :


1° Chef de pôle dans un établissement ou chef de pôle inter établissements, dans les pôles d’activité exclusivement pharmaceutique qui ne comportent pas de structures internes ou qui ne comportent que des unités fonctionnelles ;


2° Responsable d’une structure interne de pharmacie dans les autres pôles d’activité.


Les dispositions prévues au présent article ne s’appliquent pas dans les établissements publics de santé non organisés en pôles d’activité.
