Article R5131-15 of the French Labour Code

The youth employment contract referred to in article L. 5131-6 is opened by the legal representative of the local mission or Pôle emploi to young people who are not students or in training and who are experiencing difficulties in accessing long-term employment, assessed in the light of the young person’s situation, taking into account, where applicable, the nature of the employment contract and the percentage of work.

Le contrat d’engagement jeune mentionné à l’article L. 5131-6 est ouvert par le représentant légal de la mission locale ou de Pôle emploi aux jeunes qui ne sont pas étudiants, ne suivent pas une formation et qui rencontrent des difficultés d’accès à l’emploi durable, appréciées au regard de la situation du jeune, en tenant compte, le cas échéant, notamment de la nature du contrat de travail et de sa quotité de travail.
