Article R532-6 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

An appeal lodged by an asylum seeker must state the applicant’s surname, first names, date and place of birth, nationality and place of residence. It shall mention the subject of the application and a statement of the factual and legal circumstances invoked in support of it. It must be drawn up in French. It must be signed by the claimant or his or her lawyer.

Le recours formé par un demandeur d’asile doit mentionner les nom, prénoms, date et lieu de naissance, nationalité et domicile du requérant. Il mentionne l’objet de la demande et l’exposé des circonstances de fait et de droit invoquées à son appui. Il est établi en langue française. Il doit être signé par le requérant ou son avocat.
