Article R5411-17 of the French Labour Code

A jobseeker ceases to be registered on the list of jobseekers or is transferred to the category corresponding to his new situation:
1° Either fails to comply with the obligation to periodically renew his or her job application;
2° Or is informed by his or her employer or an organisation providing him or her with compensation, a social benefit or training that he or she has taken up a new job or activity, started training or undergone any other change affecting his or her situation with regard to the conditions for registration or classification in a category.

Cesse d’être inscrit sur la liste des demandeurs d’emploi ou est transféré dans la catégorie correspondant à sa nouvelle situation, le demandeur d’emploi :
1° Soit qui ne satisfait pas à l’obligation de renouvellement périodique de sa demande d’emploi ;
2° Soit pour lequel l’employeur ou un organisme lui assurant une indemnisation, un avantage social ou une formation porte à la connaissance de Pôle emploi une reprise d’emploi ou d’activité, une entrée en formation ou tout autre changement affectant sa situation au regard des conditions d’inscription ou de classement dans une catégorie.
