Article R6123-195 of the French Public Health Code

The authorisation holder organises the transition from “child and adolescent psychiatry” care to “adult psychiatry” care, jointly and in advance between the two services or authorisation holders concerned.

A general protocol defining the organisation of this transition between the two departments or registrants concerned is drawn up. Within this framework, the authorisation holder may provide care for patients who have reached the age of majority during this transition period.

Le titulaire de l’autorisation organise le passage d’une prise en charge en “ psychiatrie de l’enfant et de l’adolescent ” à une prise en charge en “ psychiatrie de l’adulte ”, conjointement et de manière anticipée entre les deux services ou titulaires concernés.

Un protocole général définissant les modalités d’organisation de cette transition entre les deux services ou titulaires concernés est élaboré. Dans ce cadre, le titulaire de l’autorisation peut assurer la prise en charge du patient devenu majeur durant ce temps de transition.
