Le centre d’hémodialyse prend principalement en charge des patients traités par hémodialyse périodique, dont l’état de santé nécessite au cours de la séance la présence permanente d’un médecin. Le centre se situe au sein d’un établissement de santé permettant l’hospitalisation à temps complet du patient dans des lits de médecine ou éventuellement de chirurgie.
