I. – Authorisation to carry out haematopoietic cell transplantation may only be granted to a health establishment that fulfils the conditions laid down in articles L. 1243-6 and L. 6122-2 and has on site :
1° A hospitalisation unit with rooms equipped with an air treatment and control system, part-time hospitalisation facilities and a medical activity caring for patients undergoing a haematopoietic cell transplant;
2° An authorised intensive care unit;
3° An authorised cancer treatment activity when the establishment cares for people with cancer.
II. – The health establishment must also have :
1° The means to ensure the removal of marrow or haematopoietic cells by cytapheresis, possibly by agreement with a blood transfusion establishment mentioned in article L. 1221-2 ;
2° The means to provide cell therapy preparations, possibly by agreement with an establishment or organisation under the conditions provided for in article L. 1243-2.
