I.- Authorisation to carry out the activity of cancer treatment by external radiotherapy may only be granted or renewed to an applicant who has a technical platform comprising at least two particle accelerators on the same site.
II.- Authorisation may exceptionally be granted to an applicant who has only one particle accelerator.However, by way of exception, authorisation may be granted to an applicant who has only one particle accelerator, where access to a technical platform imposes excessive journey times or waiting times on a significant proportion of the population in the health region.
However, this exceptional authorisation may only be granted to an applicant who has the technical platform provided for in the first paragraph on another site in the same region or in an adjacent region.
The provisions relating to the minimum activity threshold applicable to holders of authorisation to carry out the activity of cancer treatment by radiotherapy in application of article R. 6123-91-4 do not apply to derogatory radiotherapy sites for geographical exception.
