Article R6323-12 of the French Labour Code

Requests to cover the cost of a career transition project are made after a pre-assessment has been carried out. The preliminary positioning is carried out free of charge by the training provider contacted with a view to following the training course. This positioning does not constitute a training action within the meaning of article L. 6313-1.

Once the preliminary positioning has been carried out, a document, attached to the application for reimbursement, identifies the employee’s acquired skills and proposes an individualised training pathway, the content and duration of which are adapted to the training needs identified in order to achieve the professional transition project. This document includes an estimate approved by the employee, specifying the cost and content of the proposed training course.

Article R6323-12
