Article R721-22 of the French Commercial code

A judge appointed by the first president of each court of appeal from among the judges of the court is responsible for responding to any request for an opinion on an ethical issue that the president of a commercial court located within the jurisdiction of the court may refer to him, on his own initiative or at the request of a judge of his court.

In his opinions, this member of the judiciary shall ensure compliance with the ethical obligations set out in the compendium referred to in article R. 721-11-1. It takes into account the opinions and recommendations issued by the college of ethics provided for in article R. 721-20.

Un magistrat du siège désigné par le premier président de chaque cour d’appel parmi les magistrats de la cour est chargé de répondre à toute demande d’avis sur une question déontologique dont le président d’un tribunal de commerce situé dans le ressort de la cour peut le saisir, d’initiative ou sur la demande d’un juge de sa juridiction.

Ce magistrat veille, dans ses avis, au respect des obligations déontologiques figurant dans le recueil mentionné à l’article R. 721-11-1. Il prend en compte les avis et recommandations émis par le collège de déontologie prévu à l’article R. 721-20.
