The president of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée organises the counting of votes.
The polling stations are chaired by the Chairman of the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée or his representative, assisted by a member of the administration that he appoints, as well as a representative of each list that he appoints on their proposal.
It ensures that the electoral process is conducted properly and, as soon as the ballot closes, counts the votes and announces the results on the same day. The count, which is public, is recorded in minutes. The results of the electoral operations are recorded in the minutes, and blank or invalid ballot papers are counted and appended to the minutes. The minutes are then signed by all the members of the polling station present.
The electoral quotient is obtained by dividing the total number of valid votes cast by the number of representatives to be elected. Each list is entitled to as many seats as the number of votes received by it contains times the electoral quotient. Any seats remaining to be filled are allocated on the basis of the highest average.
In the event of a tie between several lists, the president of the main polling station draws lots for each of the seats to be filled.
The main polling station decides on any difficulties relating to the voting procedure. Its decisions are substantiated.
The minutes are sent without delay to the Ministry of Culture.
