Article D325-3-3 of the French Tourism Code

A holiday village may include all or part of unfounded, demountable, transportable or towable accommodation. These premises must be installed by the operator on fixed sites throughout the annual opening period of the holiday village. In this case, the village is referred to as a “holiday village” with the words “light accommodation”. This reference must be specified on all signs and information or advertising documents concerning this holiday village.

Un village de vacances peut comprendre en totalité ou en partie des locaux d’hébergement dépourvus de fondations, démontables, transportables ou tractables. Ces locaux doivent être installés par l’exploitant sur des emplacements fixes pendant toute la durée d’ouverture annuelle du village de vacances. Le village est, dans ce cas, dénommé ” village de vacances ” avec la mention ” hébergement léger ”. Cette mention doit être précisée sur tous les panonceaux et documents d’information ou de publicité concernant ce village de vacances.
