Article L114-11 of the French Sports Code

The sports resources, expertise and performance centres are headed by a Director.

The Director and his/her deputies are appointed by order of the Minister for Sport. The appointment of the Director is submitted to the President of the region concerned for prior approval.

The Director represents the State within the establishment.

In the event of serious difficulties in the running of the Centre de Ressources, d’Expertise et de Performance Sportifs, the Director may take any measures necessary to ensure the smooth running of the public service. The Director will inform the Board of Directors of any decisions taken as soon as possible and will report back to the Minister for Sport and the President of the Regional Council.

Les centres de ressources, d’expertise et de performance sportive sont dirigés par un directeur.

Le directeur et ses adjoints sont nommés par arrêté du ministre chargé des sports. La nomination du directeur est soumise pour avis préalable au président de la région concernée.

Le directeur représente l’Etat au sein de l’établissement.

En cas de difficultés graves dans le fonctionnement du centre de ressources, d’expertise et de performance sportive, le directeur peut prendre toutes dispositions nécessaires pour assurer le bon fonctionnement du service public. Le directeur expose, dans les meilleurs délais, au conseil d’administration les décisions prises et en rend compte au ministre chargé des sports et au président du conseil régional.
