Article L1333-27 of the French Public Health Code

The requirements, means and measures for the protection of workers’ health from ionising radiation taken in application of this chapter and chapter VII of this title concern the collective protection measures incumbent on the person responsible for a nuclear activity and likely to ensure compliance with the principles of radiation protection defined in article L. 1333-2.

They concern the design, operation and decommissioning phases of the installation and are without prejudice to the obligations incumbent on the employer pursuant to Articles L. 4121-1 et seq. of the Labour Code.

Les prescriptions, moyens et mesures visant la protection de la santé des travailleurs vis-à-vis des rayonnements ionisants pris en application du présent chapitre ainsi que du chapitre VII du présent titre portent sur les mesures de protection collective qui incombent au responsable d’une activité nucléaire et de nature à assurer le respect des principes de radioprotection définis à l’article L. 1333-2.

Elles concernent les phases de conception, d’exploitation et de démantèlement de l’installation et sont sans préjudice des obligations incombant à l’employeur en application des articles L. 4121-1 et suivants du code du travail.
