Article L1333-30 of the French Public Health Code

The Nuclear Safety Authority and the radiation protection inspectors shall monitor compliance with the provisions of this chapter, Articles L. 5212-1 and L. 5212-2 relating to the use of medical devices in the medical application of ionising radiation, and the radiation protection measures provided for in Chapter I of Title V of Book IV of Part Four of the Labour Code, as well as the regulations and requirements adopted for their application.

However, in the cases provided for in II, III, IV and VI of article L. 1333-9, the administrative authorities and agents competent under the schemes mentioned in the said article shall ensure, each insofar as it is concerned, compliance with the provisions of the regulatory or individual acts taken in application of these schemes ensuring that the obligations mentioned in the first paragraph are taken into account.

Article L1333-30

L’Autorité de sûreté nucléaire et les inspecteurs de la radioprotection assurent le contrôle du respect des dispositions du présent chapitre, des articles L. 5212-1 et L. 5212-2 relatives à l’utilisation des dispositifs médicaux dans les applications médicales des rayonnements ionisants, et des mesures de radioprotection prévues par le chapitre Ier du titre V du livre IV de la quatrième partie du code du travail, ainsi que des règlements et prescriptions pris pour leur application.

Toutefois, dans les cas prévus aux II, III, IV et VI de l’article L. 1333-9, les autorités administratives et les agents compétents au titre des régimes mentionnées audit article assurent le contrôle, chacun en ce qui le concerne, du respect des dispositions des actes réglementaires ou individuels pris en application de ces régimes assurant la prise en compte des obligations mentionnées au premier alinéa.
