Article L213-20 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The Chairman of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (National Centre for Cinema and Moving Images) will convene a professional consultation committee responsible for drawing up recommendations for good practice to ensure, in the context of digital projection, the widest possible distribution of cinematographic works in the general interest, the maintenance of the cultural development of the territory and the diversity of cinematographic works and cinematographic entertainment establishments.

This committee is made up of representatives of professional organisations representing cinema exhibitors and representatives of professional organisations representing distributors of cinematographic works.

Where necessary, the Chairman of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée will involve the other professional organisations representing the film and moving image sector and the companies concerned.

The composition and organisation of the committee are specified by decision of the Chairman of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.

Le président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée réunit un comité de concertation professionnelle chargé d’élaborer des recommandations de bonne pratique permettant d’assurer, dans le cadre de la projection numérique, la plus large diffusion des œuvres cinématographiques conforme à l’intérêt général, le maintien de l’aménagement culturel du territoire ainsi que la diversité des œuvres cinématographiques et des établissements de spectacles cinématographiques.

Ce comité est composé de représentants des organisations professionnelles représentatives des exploitants d’établissements de spectacles cinématographiques ainsi que de représentants des organisations professionnelles représentatives des distributeurs d’œuvres cinématographiques.

En tant que de besoin, le président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée associe les autres organisations professionnelles représentatives du secteur du cinéma et de l’image animée et les entreprises concernées.

La composition et l’organisation du comité sont précisées par décision du président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.
