Article L224-33 of the French Consumer Code

Any draft amendment to the contractual conditions shall be notified by the electronic communications service provider to the consumer, in a clear and comprehensible manner, on a durable medium at least one month before it comes into force. The same draft shall inform the consumer that, if he does not accept the new conditions, he may terminate the contract at no cost and with no right to compensation within four months of notification of the draft amendment.
The provisions of the first paragraph do not apply where the proposed changes:

1° are all exclusively for the benefit of the consumer;

2° Are of a purely administrative nature and have no negative impact on the consumer;

3° Or derive directly from the applicable legislation;

Tout projet de modification des conditions contractuelles est notifié par le fournisseur de services de communications électroniques au consommateur, de manière claire et compréhensible, sur support durable au moins un mois avant son entrée en vigueur. Ce même projet informe le consommateur qu’il peut, s’il n’accepte pas ces nouvelles conditions, résilier le contrat sans aucun frais et sans droit à dédommagement dans un délai de quatre mois suivant la notification du projet de modification.


Les dispositions du premier alinéa ne s’appliquent pas lorsque les modifications envisagées :


1° Sont toutes exclusivement au bénéfice du consommateur ;


2° Ont un caractère purement administratif et n’ont pas d’incidence négative pour le consommateur ;


3° Ou découlent directement de la législation applicable.
