Article L231-3 of the French Sports Code

The doctor in charge, within the sports federation, of coordinating the examinations required as part of the specific medical monitoring provided for in article L. 231-6 may issue a certificate stating that participation in sports competitions is contraindicated, based on the results of this medical monitoring.

This certificate is forwarded to the president of the federation, who suspends the person concerned from taking part in sporting competitions organised or authorised by the said federation until the doctor removes the contraindication.

Article L231-3

Le médecin chargé, au sein de la fédération sportive, de coordonner les examens requis dans le cadre de la surveillance médicale particulière prévue à l’article L. 231-6 peut établir un certificat de contre-indication à la participation aux compétitions sportives au vu des résultats de cette surveillance médicale.

Ce certificat est transmis au président de la fédération, qui suspend la participation de l’intéressé aux compétitions sportives organisées ou autorisées par ladite fédération jusqu’à la levée de la contre-indication par le médecin.
