Article L3123-23 of the French Labour Code

A company or establishment agreement or, failing that, a branch agreement extended or approved in application ofarticle L. 314-6 of the Code de l’Action Sociale et des Familles may define the distribution of working hours for part-time employees during the working day.

If this distribution includes more than one interruption of activity or an interruption of more than two hours, the agreement or arrangement defines the working hours during which employees may carry out their activity and provides for specific compensation taking into account the specific requirements of the activity carried out.

Une convention ou un accord d’entreprise ou d’établissement ou, à défaut, une convention ou un accord de branche étendu ou agréé en application de l’article L. 314-6 du code de l’action sociale et des familles peut définir la répartition des horaires de travail des salariés à temps partiel dans la journée de travail.

Si cette répartition comporte plus d’une interruption d’activité ou une interruption supérieure à deux heures, la convention ou l’accord définit les amplitudes horaires pendant lesquelles les salariés peuvent exercer leur activité et prévoit des contreparties spécifiques en tenant compte des exigences propres à l’activité exercée.
