In order to be the proprietor of a pharmacy open to the public, to become the manager of a pharmacy after death, or of a mutualist or miner’s aid pharmacy, the pharmacist must provide proof of at least six months’ additional experience as an assistant pharmacist or as a replacement pharmacist in a pharmacy if he has not completed the six-month end-of-studies placement in a pharmacy or an internal-use pharmacy of a health establishment.
The provisions of the previous paragraph do not apply to former hospital pharmacy interns, nor to pharmacists registered with any of the sections of the Order on 1st January 1996 or having been previously registered. The same applies to pharmacists who are nationals of other Member States of the European Union or other States party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, with regard to their professional practice in their country of origin or provenance.
