Article L5211-15 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Establissements publics de coopération intercommunale are liable, under the conditions set out in articles L. 2123-31 to L. 2123-33 for municipal councillors and mayors, accidents to members of their deliberative bodies and their chairmen in the performance of their duties.

The provisions of article L. 2123-34 relating to the responsibility of elected representatives are applicable to the president and vice-presidents who have received a delegation.

Les établissements publics de coopération intercommunale sont responsables, dans les conditions prévues par les articles L. 2123-31 à L. 2123-33 pour les conseillers municipaux et les maires, des accidents survenus aux membres de leurs organes délibérants et à leurs présidents dans l’exercice de leurs fonctions.

Les dispositions de l’article L. 2123-34 relatives à la responsabilité des élus sont applicables au président et aux vice-présidents ayant reçu délégation.
