Article L5312-6 of the French Labour Code

The Managing Director manages the institution within the framework of the guidelines laid down by the Board of Directors; he prepares the Board’s deliberations and ensures that they are implemented.

The Managing Director is appointed by decree, after receiving the opinion of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may, by a majority of two-thirds of its members, adopt a resolution requesting the dismissal of the Chief Executive Officer.

Le directeur général exerce la direction de l’institution dans le cadre des orientations définies par le conseil d’administration ; il prépare les délibérations de ce conseil et en assure l’exécution.


Le directeur général est nommé par décret, après avis du conseil d’administration. Le conseil d’administration peut adopter, à la majorité des deux tiers de ses membres, une délibération demandant sa révocation.
