Article L552-9 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Decisions on admission to a place of accommodation for asylum seekers, as well as decisions to change the place, are taken by the French Office for Immigration and Integration, after consultation with the director of the place of accommodation, on the basis of the national reception plan for asylum seekers and, where applicable, the regional plan provided for in article L. 551-2 and taking into account the applicant’s situation.

Les décisions d’admission dans un lieu d’hébergement pour demandeurs d’asile ainsi que les décisions de changement de lieu, sont prises par l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration, après consultation du directeur du lieu d’hébergement, sur la base du schéma national d’accueil des demandeurs d’asile et, le cas échéant, du schéma régional prévus à l’article L. 551-2 et en tenant compte de la situation du demandeur.
