Article L6141-6 of the French Public Health Code

When a hospital department of the prison administration is set up as a public health establishment, the provisions of Title IV of the general regulations governing civil servants shall apply to permanent or probationary civil servants in this department who carry out paramedical duties, as well as to contract staff carrying out the same duties and occupying permanent full-time posts. The conditions of application of this article are laid down by regulation.

Lorsqu’un service hospitalier de l’administration pénitentiaire est érigé en établissement public de santé, les dispositions du titre IV du statut général des fonctionnaires sont applicables aux fonctionnaires titulaires ou stagiaires de ce service qui y exercent des fonctions paramédicales, ainsi qu’aux agents contractuels exerçant les mêmes fonctions et occupant des emplois permanents à temps complet. Les conditions d’application du présent article sont fixées par voie réglementaire.
