Hospitals which have a regional vocation due to their high level of specialisation and which appear on a list drawn up by decree are called regional hospitals; they also provide day-to-day care for the local population. Regional hospitals that have signed an agreement under Chapter II of this Title with a university that includes one or more medical, pharmaceutical or odontological training and research units are called university hospitals.
