Article L7122-14 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The Assembly of French Guyana may not deliberate unless the absolute majority of its members in office are present.

However, if on the day fixed by the notice convening the Assembly does not meet in sufficient number to deliberate, the meeting is held ipso jure three days later and the deliberations are then valid regardless of the number of those present.

Subject to the provisions of articles L. 7123-1, L. 7123-5 and L. 7123-7, the decisions of the Assembly are taken by a majority of the votes cast.

L’assemblée de Guyane ne peut délibérer si la majorité absolue de ses membres en exercice n’est présente.

Toutefois, si au jour fixé par la convocation l’assemblée ne se réunit pas en nombre suffisant pour délibérer, la réunion se tient de plein droit trois jours plus tard et les délibérations sont alors valables quel que soit le nombre des présents.

Sous réserve des dispositions des articles L. 7123-1, L. 7123-5 et L. 7123-7, les délibérations de l’assemblée sont prises à la majorité des suffrages exprimés.
