The Grand Customary Council organises and records the designation of the customary and traditional authorities, and notifies it to the State representative in French Guyana. This designation is also notified to the president of the assembly of French Guiana.
The deliberation of the assembly of French Guiana fixing the amount of the allowances paid to the customary and traditional authorities and the terms and conditions of allocation is subject to consultation with the great customary council.
Le grand conseil coutumier organise et constate la désignation des autorités coutumières et traditionnelles, et la notifie au représentant de l’Etat en Guyane. Cette désignation est également notifiée au président de l’assemblée de Guyane.
La délibération de l’assemblée de Guyane fixant le montant des indemnités versées aux autorités coutumières et traditionnelles et les modalités d’attribution est soumise à la consultation du grand conseil coutumier.
