Article R10 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The granting of the status of judicial police officer to candidates who pass the technical examination is pronounced, following the assent of the commission provided for in article R. 3, by joint order of the Minister of Justice and the Minister of the Interior.

L’attribution de la qualité d’officier de police judiciaire aux candidats reçus à l’examen technique est prononcée, après avis conforme de la commission prévue à l’article R. 3, par arrêté conjoint du garde des sceaux, ministre de la justice, et du ministre de l’intérieur.
