Article R111-4-4 of the French Consumer Code

I.-For the application of article L. 111-4-1, the following motorised DIY and gardening tools are subject to the provisions of this article:

1° Ride-on lawnmowers, walk-behind lawnmowers or robotic lawnmowers;

2° Chain saws;

Hedge trimmers
3° Hedge trimmers;

4° Brushcutters;

5° Power tillers and rotovators;

6° Vegetable shredders;

7° High-pressure cleaners;

II – Manufacturers and importers of the motorised DIY and gardening tools mentioned in I, with the exception of electric or internal combustion engine high-pressure cleaners, shall ensure that:

From the date on which the tools are placed on the market, the following conditions are met
1° From the date on which the first unit of a model is placed on the national market, the availability of the following spare parts:

a) Cutting implements such as blades, chains, rotors, knives or rollers;

b) On/Off switches;

> c) On/Off switches
c) On/off switches;

d) Wheels;

2° No later than two years after the date on which the first unit of a model is placed on the national market, the availability of the following spare parts:

> a) Electric or combustion engines
a) Electric or internal combustion engines;

> b) Cruise control devices
b) Speed control devices;

> c) Batteries
c) Batteries;

> d) Chargers
d) Chargers;

e) Sensors;

f) Control screens;

> g) Carburettors
g) Carburettors;

h) Starting systems;

> i) Traction systems and components
i) Traction systems and transmission components;

They shall also ensure the availability of the spare parts referred to in 1° and 2° for a minimum period of ten years from the date on which the last unit of the model concerned was placed on the national market.

III.
III – Manufacturers and importers of high-pressure cleaners must ensure that:

1° From the date on which the first unit of a model is placed on the national market, the availability of the following spare parts:

> a) Guns, nozzles, nozzles, nozzles, nozzles, nozzles.
a) Guns, lances or nozzles;

> b) Capacitors
b) Capacitors;

> c) On/off switches
c) On-off switches;

d) On-off switches;

e) On-off switches;

f) On-off switches
d) On-off switches;

e) High-pressure hoses;

e) High-pressure hoses;

2° No later than two years after the date on which the first unit of a model is placed on the national market, the availability of the following spare parts:

> a) Coils
a) Coals;

> b) Batteries
b) Batteries;

> c) Chargers
c) Chargers;

d) Distributor pistons;

> e) Filters or sieves
e) Filters or screens;

> f) Valve repair kits
f) Non-return valve repair kits;

g) Piston seal repair kits;

h) Piston system repair kits;

i) Piston repair kits
h) Pump pressure regulation system repair kits;

i) Handle frames.

They shall also ensure the availability of the spare parts referred to in 1° and 2° for a minimum period of ten years from the date on which the last unit of the model concerned was placed on the national market.

Article R111-4-4

I.-Pour l’application de l’article L. 111-4-1, les outils de bricolage et de jardinage motorisés suivants sont soumis aux dispositions du présent article :

1° Tondeuses à gazon autoportées ou à conducteur marchant ou robot ;

2° Tronçonneuses (scies à chaîne) ;

3° Taille-haies ;

4° Débroussailleuses ;

5° Motoculteurs et motobineuses ;

6° Broyeurs de végétaux ;

7° Nettoyeurs haute pression.

II.-Les fabricants et les importateurs d’outils de bricolage et de jardinage motorisés mentionnés au I, à l’exception des nettoyeurs haute pression à moteur électrique ou thermique, assurent :

1° Dès la date de la mise sur le marché national de la première unité d’un modèle, la disponibilité des pièces détachées suivantes :

a) Outils de coupe tels que lames, chaînes, rotors, couteaux ou rouleaux ;

b) Interrupteurs marche-arrêt ;

c) Commutateurs marche-arrêt ;

d) Roues ;

2° Au plus tard deux ans après la date de la mise sur le marché national de la première unité d’un modèle, la disponibilité des pièces détachées suivantes :

a) Moteurs électriques ou thermiques ;

b) Dispositifs de réglage de la vitesse ;

c) Batteries ;

d) Chargeurs ;

e) Capteurs ;

f) Ecrans de contrôle ;

g) Carburateurs ;

h) Systèmes de démarrage ;

i) Systèmes de traction et éléments de transmission.

Ils assurent également la disponibilité des pièces détachées mentionnées aux 1° et 2° pendant une durée minimale de dix ans à compter de la date de mise sur le marché national de la dernière unité du modèle concerné.

III.-Les fabricants et importateurs de nettoyeurs haute pression assurent :

1° Dès la date de la mise sur le marché national de la première unité d’un modèle, la disponibilité des pièces détachées suivantes :

a) Pistolets, lances ou buses ;

b) Condensateurs ;

c) Interrupteurs marche-arrêt ;

d) Commutateurs marche-arrêt ;

e) Flexibles haute-pression ;

2° Au plus tard deux ans après la date de la mise sur le marché national de la première unité d’un modèle, la disponibilité des pièces détachées suivantes :

a) Charbons ;

b) Batteries ;

c) Chargeurs ;

d) Pistons distributeurs ;

e) Filtres ou tamis ;

f) Kits de réparation des clapets anti-retours ;

g) Kits de réparation de l’étanchéité des pistons ;

h) Kits de réparation du système de régulation de la pression de la pompe ;

i) Cadres de poignée.

Ils assurent également la disponibilité des pièces détachées mentionnées aux 1° et 2° pendant une durée minimale de dix ans à compter de la date de mise sur le marché national de la dernière unité du modèle concerné.
