Article R1262-18 of the French Labour Code

Guarantees taken out in their country of origin by companies established in a Member State of the European Union, a party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or in the Swiss Confederation may be regarded as equivalent to the financial guarantee provided for in article R. 1262-17 if they provide the same protection for the employees concerned.

Les garanties souscrites dans leur pays d’origine par les entreprises établies dans un Etat membre de l’Union européenne, partie à l’accord sur l’Espace économique européen ou dans la Confédération helvétique peuvent être regardées comme équivalentes à la garantie financière prévue à l’article R. 1262-17 si elles assurent la même protection aux salariés concernés.
