Article R141-19 of the French Sports Code

If the request for conciliation is submitted after the expiry of the time limit set out in Article R. 141-15, the Chairman of the Mediation Conference may invite the other party to take part in an optional conciliation procedure.

The parties must then inform the president of the conciliators’ conference in writing of their decision whether or not to submit to the optional conciliation procedure.

The provisions of this article also apply when conciliation is not a compulsory prerequisite to the exercise of a contentious appeal.

Article R141-19

Dans le cas où la demande de conciliation a été présentée postérieurement à l’expiration du délai prévu à l’article R. 141-15, le président de la conférence des conciliateurs, saisi par l’une des parties, a la faculté d’inviter l’autre partie à participer à une procédure de conciliation facultative.

Les parties doivent alors informer par écrit le président de la conférence des conciliateurs de leur décision de se soumettre ou non à la procédure de conciliation facultative.

Les dispositions du présent article sont également applicables lorsque la conciliation n’est pas un préalable obligatoire à l’exercice d’un recours contentieux.
