Article R*214-3 of the French Insurance Code

By way of derogation from the second paragraph of article R. 211-23, frontier insurance taken out for the use in French Guyana of a vehicle that is not normally based in France or in a State mentioned in article L. 211-4 may provide cover for a period of between fifteen days and one year.

Par dérogation au second alinéa de l’article R. 211-23, l’assurance frontière souscrite pour faire circuler en Guyane un véhicule qui n’a pas son lieu de stationnement habituel en France ou dans un Etat mentionné à l’article L. 211-4 peut prévoir une garantie pour une période de quinze jours à un an.
