Chapter IV: Provisions specific to overseas departments and territories and Mayotte

The provisions of this Title shall apply in the departments of Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique and Réunion, subject to the provisions of this Section.

The supporting documents provided for in articles R. 211-15 to R. 211-21 are only required, in each of the overseas departments, in respect of vehicles registered in that department and vehicles not subject to registration whose usual place of parking is located in that department. By way of derogation from the second paragraph of article R. 211-23, frontier insurance taken out for the use in French Guyana of a vehicle that is not normally based in France or in a State mentioned in article L. 211-4 may provide cover for a period of between fifteen days and one year.

The powers exercised by the Minister of the Interior pursuant to article R. 211-1 and article R. 211-18 are devolved to the Minister responsible for the overseas departments and territories.
