Article R2172-1 of the French Public procurement code

The purpose of project management contracts is to carry out one or more elements of the task defined in article L. 2431-1, with a view to the completion of a work or an urban or landscape project.
These contracts are awarded in accordance with the procedures laid down in this section and, where they and the purchasers who conclude them come under Book IV, in compliance with these provisions.

Article R2172-1

Les marchés de maîtrise d’œuvre ont pour objet, en vue de la réalisation d’un ouvrage ou d’un projet urbain ou paysager, l’exécution d’un ou plusieurs éléments de la mission définie à l’article L. 2431-1.
Ces marchés sont passés selon les modalités prévues à la présente section et, lorsqu’ils relèvent ainsi que les acheteurs qui les concluent du livre IV, dans le respect de ces dispositions.
