Article R220-2 of the French Insurance Code

The insurance must guarantee compensation, both to users of the installation and to any other person, for personal injury or damage to property resulting from :

1° Accidents, fires or explosions caused by the equipment mentioned in article R. 220-1, in the course of its operation, by the accessories or products used in this operation and by the persons, objects or substances transported or hauled in;

2° The fall of these persons, equipment, accessories, products, objects or substances.

Article R220-2

L’assurance doit garantir la réparation, tant aux usagers de l’installation qu’à toute autre personne, des dommages corporels ou matériels résultant :

1° Des accidents, incendies ou explosions causés par les matériels mentionnés à l’article R. 220-1, à l’occasion de leur exploitation, par les accessoires ou produits servant à cette exploitation et par les personnes, objets ou substances transportés ou halés ;

2° De la chute de ces personnes, matériels, accessoires, produits, objets ou substances.
